So What Actually IS Sublimation Printing?

Here's the short version: sublimation uses heat and pressure to convert special dye-based ink from a solid directly into a gas — skipping the liquid phase entirely (that's literally what "sublimation" means). That gas bonds permanently with the polyester fibers in the fabric at a molecular level. The result? A print that is IN the fabric, not on top of it. It won't crack, peel, or fade. Ever.

On a 50/50 blend, you'll still get great color, just slightly softer. On 100% cotton? It's not the right tool.
