If you decorate apparel at home or run a small print shop, gang sheets are one of the most cost-effective ways to get high-quality DTF transfers without investing in your own printer. Here's how they work and how to order them from Bright Designs.
What Is a Gang Sheet?
A gang sheet is a single DTF film sheet with multiple designs printed together. Instead of printing one design at a time on its own sheet, designs are nested side by side to fill the available print area. This maximizes the film usage, reduces waste, and lowers the cost per transfer significantly compared to printing designs individually.
How Pricing Works
We price our wholesale gang sheets at $0.40 per linear inch of sheet length. Our film is 24 inches wide with a 22-inch printable area. To calculate your cost, measure the total length of your gang sheet and multiply by $0.40.
Small crest design up to 4 inches wide — approximately $1.60 to $2.40
Full back print approximately 11 by 12 inches — approximately $4.80
How to Set Up Your Gang Sheet
Prepare your designs as high-resolution PNG files with transparent backgrounds
Nest your designs close together without overlapping — leave a small gap between each one for cutting
Keep your total sheet width within 22 inches
Measure the total length of your layout to calculate your cost
Not sure how to set up your file? Send us your designs and we can help you lay out an efficient gang sheet.
Who Orders Wholesale Transfers From Us?
Our wholesale transfer customers include home decorators, small custom apparel shops, start-up print businesses, school fundraiser organizers, and other decorators who want professional DTF quality without maintaining their own printing equipment. We are the regional standard — other shops in the area come to us.
How to Apply DTF Transfers
DTF transfers are applied with a heat press. Set your press to approximately 300 to 320 degrees Fahrenheit, press for 10 to 15 seconds with medium pressure, peel the film while warm or cold depending on the transfer type, and do a final press with a cover sheet for best results. Always test on a sample garment first.
