What Is a Gang Sheet?
A gang sheet is a single DTF (Direct-to-Film) print sheet with multiple designs nested together to maximize the printable area. Instead of ordering each design on a separate sheet, you pack your designs tightly onto one film sheet and we print it as a single run. It's the most cost-effective way to order DTF transfers when you have multiple designs to print.
Gang sheets are popular with home decorators, small custom apparel shops, crafters, and Etsy sellers who own a heat press and want to press high-quality full-color transfers onto blanks themselves.
How Pricing Works
Bright Designs prices gang sheets at $0.40 per square inch. Here's what that looks like in practice:
Film size: 24 inches wide
Printable width: 22 inches (the outer 1 inch on each side is margin)
Pricing: $0.40 per square inch of the printable area used
No minimum order — order as little or as much as you need
To calculate the cost of your gang sheet, multiply the width of your sheet by the total height used, then multiply by $0.40. For example, a 22” x 12” sheet = 264 square inches x $0.40 = $105.60.
How to Measure Your Designs
Before you submit your order, measure each design at the size you want it printed. Plan how you'll arrange them on the sheet — nesting designs close together (with a small gap between each) minimizes wasted space and reduces your cost. Most customers send us a layout file or a list of designs with dimensions, and we help arrange them efficiently.
How to Submit Your Artwork
To place a gang sheet order, you'll need to provide your artwork files in a print-ready format. Here's what we accept:
PNG files with a transparent background (preferred)
High-resolution files — 300 DPI or higher at print size
Vector files (AI, EPS, PDF) for logos and text-heavy designs

Turnaround Time
Most gang sheet orders are produced in 3–5 business days after artwork approval. Because everything is done in-house in St. Joseph, there's no shipping delay between a production facility and your door. You pick up locally or we can arrange delivery for regional customers.
